As a Supply Chain Planner, you will coordinate and communicate the full spectrum of the Supply Plan in an engineering and development manufacturing environment in support of government contracts. This role is chartered with end-to-end supply management for their assigned programs/projects. This person will be the single point of contact from a plan development and supply status communication perspective, with the role's main customers being program managers, business unit directors, finance, and other supply chain and operations teams. This role will interface closely with Procurement, Production, Strategic Sourcing, Demand Planning, Operations Program Managers, and Inventory Control. Success in this role is having complete knowledge of, and direct influence upon, the supply availability against the program deadlines with intimate knowledge of on-hand and in-bound inventory with supply gaps and associated closure actions quickly identified. As needed, this role will also support the MPS (Master Production Schedule) process as it relates to coordination of materials to support internal and external Build Plans. As with any NPI program, plans and assumptions will change 'on the fly', requiring flexibility, creative problem solving, and a \"can do\" attitude.
Ideal candidates will be able to operate effectively in an ambiguous environment where we have a mix of R&D and steady-state production programs running in parallel.
* Understand and evaluate all aspects of BOM, MRP, & MPS in support of precise Supply Planning activities for smooth execution through the supply chain.
* Interface daily with procurement, factory production control, Operations program managers, and inventory teams to determine and resolve materials needs, changes, and gaps.
* Expedite, de-expedite and re-plan to meet changing requirements of raw stock, manufactured sub-assemblies, purchased parts, and outside services to satisfy customer needs and minimize inventory risk.
* Remain knowledgeable of the capacities and capabilities of internal and external manufacturing sites.
* Work closely with program management teams to understand manufacturing and material requirements.
* Continual review & reconciliation of bills of materials, item attributes, material routings to ensure demand and supply accuracy and efficiency.
5+ years' experience in Supply Chain Management roles within an engineering and manufacturing environment.
Strong Knowledge, understanding and practice of MRP principles.
Experience in ERP systems, Oracle preferred.
Continuous Improvement and Process Implementation experience (DMAIC, Lean Mfg, Kaizen)
Strong knowledge and understanding of requirements planning/inventory management techniques including Just-In-Time, MRP, and KANBAN in support of make-to-stock and engineer-to-order manufacturing processes.
Possess a working knowledge of manufacturing principles, particularly in heavy NPI/Development and pre-production environments
Strong influence skills - experience working in a matrix organization
Experienced in Microsoft applications such as Word, Excel, and PowerPoint for management reporting and presentation.
Demonstrated analytical expertise developing and implementing advanced planning and analysis tools using Excel, Tableau, etc.
Bachelor's degree, quantitative majors and Master's degree preferred.
Strong teamwork skills required to work effectively and sometimes lead in a team environment and establish and maintain effective working relationships with internal and external supply chain partners.

APICS CPSM / CPIM
Government contract manufacturing experience.
Electronics manufacturing experience.
Specific experience planning within R&D environments
High degree of initiative and ownership, attention to detail, and the discipline to follow through on assigned tasks.
Ability to develop solutions to a variety of problems of large to very large scope and complexity, often creating or revising company or departmental policies in the process
