This job is for WMAQ-TV (NBC 5 Chicago) and WSNS-TV (Telemundo Chicago), the NBCUniversal Owned Television Stations in Chicago. Reporting to the Director of Integrated Sales Marketing, the Marketing Planner will have three primary areas of responsibility: to support the Sales and Marketing team by creating custom marketing solutions for NBC 5 & Telemundo Chicago?s advertisers; implement post-buy fulfillment of business development, multi-platform and/or other complex deals; and develop compelling proof of performance materials to exhibit campaigns results and retain advertising partners. JOB DUTIES: Assist in the creation of new presentation templates, case study/recap decks, capabilities presentations and sales materials for NBC 5 & Telemundo Chicago?s platforms, programs and sponsorships Update and maintain client-facing marketing materials across internal sales portals and presentation archives. Ensure these materials are current, accurate, thorough and free of errors at all times Work with Account Executives to respond to RFPs and develop customized marketing materials and on-air/digital media plans for new sales opportunities; manage influx of proposals to ensure timely delivery Ascertain client needs and effectively present ideas and solutions that apply to NBC 5 & Telemundo Chicago platforms (on-air, digital, OOH) in PowerPoint format for sales presentations and meetings Design and develop mock-ups and storyboards for prospective clients Compile and analyze qualitative/quantitative data; synthesize insights into standalone sales/marketing materials that communicate ratings, digital media analytics, market research, customer information etc. Organize the planning and implementation of sales production projects, tracking all phases of campaigns Collaborate with on-air/digital production teams to make sure creative design is accurate and production deadlines are met; serve as production assistant for on-site shoots, as needed Coordinate client-focused sweepstakes construction, administration and promotion Serve as the main point of contact for internal and external parties regarding all campaign related issues, including Legal correspondence Compile post-campaign summaries for station sponsorships/strategic campaigns to merchandise back to clients Drive on-site event marketing opportunities and customer service initiatives Bachelor?s degree in Marketing, Communications, Sales, or related field Minimum 2 years of traditional and/or digital media and marketing experience within a media company or agency Must have exceptional competencies in PowerPoint, Word and Excel programs Ability to manage multiple priorities on multiple projects efficiently and on a consistent basis ADDITIONAL JOB REQUIREMENTS: Must have unrestricted work authorization to work in the United States Must be willing to work in Chicago, IL Must be at least 18 years of age Interested candidates must submit a resume/CV through www.nbcunicareers.com to be considered for this position Previous professional experience in television production, ad sales / marketing and/or graphic design Work efficiently individually and within a team environment Experience creating engaging PowerPoint presentations, including ideation, copywriting and PowerPoint design; experience in Photoshop is a plus Exceptional communication, project management and presentation skills Familiarity with both quantitative and qualitative research tools (i.e. Scarborough, Nielsen, comScore), along with the ability to derive insights and craft sales stories based on relevant data Superior organizational skills; possesses the ability to operate efficiently under pressure and manage multiple priorities while meeting frequent deadlines Be self-motivated, confident, positive, energetic and creative Able to work various hours on short notice including weekends and evenings, as needed At NBCUniversal, we believe in the talent of our people.
