Reports to facility administrator. Responsible for performing a variety of clerical and administrative duties, which require extreme discretion in compliance with Management & Training Corporation (MTC) and Texas Civil Commitment Office (TCCO) directives.
Perform a variety of administrative and clerical duties, including preparation of correspondence, reports and other documents.
Receive telephone calls and visitors; tactfully refer them to proper individual if facility administrator is not available.
Maintain calendar of events, schedules, appointments and take minutes of meetings.
Coordinate meeting arrangements such as time, place, attendees and subject matter.
Prepare and submit weekly, monthly, quarterly, and other reports as directed.
Maintain central library of required documents, handbooks, directives, facility operation procedures, etc. Ensure distribution to designated staff.
Maintain and update master facility operating procedures, as directed by the facility administrator.
Make recommendation for purchase of equipment/supplies; maintain expense account records and confidential files.
Promote the development of positive social skills through modeling appropriate behaviors and intervening when inappropriate behaviors are observed; provide regular feedback to staff regarding social skills procedures and intervention techniques.
Maintain accountability of staff, clients and property; adhere to safety practices.
It is expected that the incumbent shall perform other duties as assigned within his/her capabilities as determined by management.
Education and Experience Requirements:
Graduation from an accredited senior high school or equivalent or GED. Two (2) years of administrative or clerical or related experience required. Computer proficiency with in the use of Microsoft Office Suite or equivalent to include word processing, spreadsheet, database, or presentation software programs required. Must possess strong interpersonal communication skills. Valid driver's license in the state of Texas with an acceptable driving record required, unless waived by management.
Post Hire Requirements:
Upon hire applicant must successfully complete required pre-service and annual training requirements. Must successfully pass an annual background check.
